Brynn Baca

Brynn Baca was named the head coach of TSC Softball on June 28, 2023.


In her first season as head coach, Baca lead the Eagles to an 11-31 record with a conference upset over Chipola. She had 4 All Panhandle Conference award winners, with Tori Richardson being named to first team All Panhandle.


Baca most recently served as an assistant coach at Stephen F. Austin (2019-23), where she primarily worked with the catchers and infielders, as well as assisting the pitching staff.


Before joining the staff at Stephen F. Austin, Baca served as a graduate assistant at Southern Arkansas University while working towards a master’s degree in kinesiology. While there, she called pitches for the entire pitching staff, coached hitting, and worked primarily with the catchers and infielders.


Baca has not only coached but also played at the NCAA Division I level. She was a four-year starter at Lamar University (2013-17), where she received first-team All-Southland honors as a catcher in her junior and senior seasons (2016, 17). She also received first-team All-Southland academic honors in 2016. At Lamar, Baca earned a bachelor’s degree in general business.

Katie Mullins

Katie Mullins is going into her second season with the Women's Softball team, her first season as a full-time assistant coach.


Last season, Mullins was a volunteer assistant with TSC, working primarily with pitchers. Mullins focused on mechanics and the mental game with the Eagle pitchers last season. She also helped them with developing new pitches.


Prior to her time at TSC, Mullins was the pitching coach for Powermill Johnson 18u. With Powermill, Mullins worked again with pitching mechanics as well as called all the game pitches for the team.


As a player, Mullins played high school Softball at local Chiles High School. After Chiles, Mullins attended Santa Fe Community College to play softball. While at Santa Fe, Mullins was a staple of the Santa Fe pitching staff. She set the record for wins with 36 as well as set the record for lowest ERA at 0.88. Mullins was awarded Mid-Florida Conference Pitcher of the Year. She led the Saints to their first NJCAA/FCCAA Region VIII State Tournament where she was named to the All-Tournament team and Tournament MVP. While at Santa Fe Mullins was named team Captain, and one of the best 16 players in the Country. Mullins would announce her Commitment to Marshall University.


At Marshall, Mullins started 63 games in her two years for the Thundering Herd. She Finished 29-26 overall in the two years with a whopping 295 career strikeouts. In her Junior season, Mullins was named C-USA Newcomer of the Year as well as C-USA All-Academic team and Thundering Herd Team Captain. In her senior season at Marshall, Mullins led her team in every pitching category including strikeouts, starts, and wins. She was named to ESPN/CoSIDA Academic All-District Team as a pitcher. Also received the Dot Hicks Female Student Athlete award for 2010.


Mullins earned her associate’s degree from Santa Fe in 2008. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology Degree from Marshall in 2011. She earned her Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from Marshall in 2013. And lastly earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida State in 2016.


Katie Mullins currently resides in Tallahassee with her Husband Jeremy, three Children Brady, Brielle, Bridget, and their dog Boots.
